From Hyderabad to Port Blair
Leave Shamshabad, land in Port Blair, then start the island itinerary.
Getting there
Hyderabad travellers start at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad, not in Port Blair. Adventure Andaman is the island operator: hotels, ferries, cabs and listed activities from the moment you are on the ground in the Andamans. We do not have a Hyderabad branch.
HYD–Port Blair tickets are almost always booked separately. Shamshabad is a long drive from much of the city — treat that mainland transfer as part of day zero, then send us the IXZ arrival so we can plan day one honestly.
No rail or road reaches the islands. From Hyderabad you fly to Port Blair. There is no passenger ship from Telangana; sea crossings, when they exist, start from selected east-coast ports.
Depart HYD (Shamshabad) and arrive IXZ (Port Blair). Some dates may be non-stop; many travellers will see a connection via another Indian city. Confirm on the airline site for your date.
RGIA is south of the city. An early HYD departure from Gachibowli, Secunderabad or the old city is a different length of road journey. If the flight is before 07:00, sleep near Shamshabad rather than gambling on night traffic.
There is no ship from Hyderabad to Port Blair. A sea route would mean travelling first to a port such as Chennai or Visakhapatnam, then a multi-day voyage. That is not a practical add-on to a week of leave from Hyderabad.
Trains stop on the mainland. Secunderabad or Hyderabad Deccan can get you into the city; they cannot get you to Andaman. Fly from HYD after you arrive, and keep a night in the city if the rail leg is long.
Do not plan the island week around a HYD timetable copied from last year.

Hyderabad connections often eat the morning. If you land at IXZ after mid-afternoon, the useful work for that day is pickup, check-in and rest — not a ferry.
Morning arrivals can still support a Port Blair half-day. Evening arrivals should not be paired with Cellular Jail the same night as if it were a city tour after office.
Tell us if the HYD ticket is a connection. We will say plainly whether day one stays in Port Blair.
