Andaman Tour Packages from Bangalore

If you are leaving from Bangalore (Bengaluru), the holiday has two parts: the flight out of Kempegowda International Airport, and the Andaman ground arrangements that start after you land in Port Blair. Adventure Andaman is a local island operator. We handle hotels, inter-island ferries, cabs, sightseeing and listed activities depending on the package — not a Bangalore city office.

A package “from Bangalore” means the itinerary is planned around someone arriving from this city. It does not automatically include Bengaluru–Port Blair airfare. Book the flights yourself unless a written quote says otherwise, then send us the arrival time so day one is built around it.

How to Reach Andaman from Bangalore

There is no road or railway from Karnataka to the Andaman Islands. From Bangalore the practical holiday route is a flight into Port Blair. Passenger ships to the islands do not start from Bengaluru — they operate from selected mainland ports such as Chennai, Kolkata and Visakhapatnam when sailings exist.

Bangalore to Andaman by Flight

Depart Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) and arrive at Veer Savarkar International Airport (IXZ) in Port Blair. Some dates have been served non-stop; others only with a connection via another Indian city. That mix changes through the year, so check the airline for your travel date rather than assuming a non-stop will be on sale.

Kempegowda is north of the city. Build in airport transfer time on the Bangalore side as well as the Port Blair side, especially for an early departure. Flying is still the only realistic option for a 4–7 day island holiday.

Bangalore to Andaman by Ship

There is no passenger ship from Bangalore to Port Blair. If you specifically want a sea crossing, you would first travel to a mainland port that still handles Andaman passenger sailings — typically Chennai, and at times Kolkata or Visakhapatnam — then spend several days at sea. That is a poor fit for a short leave from Bengaluru.

Most travellers from Bangalore should fly. Adventure Andaman’s packages start after you have arrived in Port Blair, however you got there.

Can You Travel from Bangalore to Andaman by Train?

Not to the islands. There is no railway connection from mainland India to Andaman. A train can only bring you into Bengaluru (or another mainland city). You still fly, or much more rarely sail, from there.

If you are combining rail and air — for example arriving at Bangalore City or Yeshvantpur the evening before — stay overnight in the city or near Devanahalli so a delayed train does not cost you the Port Blair flight. Our Bangalore to Andaman travel guide is useful extra reading for that routing.

Bangalore to Port Blair Flights

Treat BLR–IXZ as a planning constraint, not a frozen timetable. Airlines, whether a date is non-stop, and fares all move.

  • Airports: Kempegowda (BLR) to Port Blair (IXZ).
  • Direct vs connecting: a non-stop is easier with children. A connection is acceptable if you still reach Port Blair with daylight left for the airport pickup and hotel drop.
  • Airport distance: BLR is a long city transfer. An 05:00 flight from Bengaluru means a hotel-to-airport start well before dawn — plan that on the mainland side, not as an afterthought.
  • Peak season: October–May and school holidays fill both flights and Havelock ferries. Book air once dates are firm, then share the PNR.
  • First day: we rarely put a same-day Havelock ferry after a Bangalore arrival unless you land early enough to clear the airport and still meet jetty reporting time.

Airfare is not a standard inclusion. Send the timings if you want us to say whether the flight sits cleanly against a specific itinerary.

What Time Should You Reach Port Blair?

Bangalore departures are often early, which can put you into Port Blair in a usable afternoon — or, with a connection, much later than the first boarding pass suggested. The ground question is what we can still do after you land, not whether a flight exists.

Usable afternoon arrivals allow pickup, hotel check-in or luggage drop, and a light Port Blair half-day if the itinerary includes it.

Late connections should keep that night in Port Blair. Do not plan a Havelock ferry on the same calendar day.

If the Bengaluru flight is delayed, a Port Blair buffer night is cheaper than missing a ferry you cannot rebook at short notice in peak season. Share the flight number when you enquire.

Best Andaman Tour Packages from Bangalore

These are the same published itineraries we use for travellers from any city. The Bangalore page only helps you choose duration and islands; each card opens the canonical package URL. We then fit day one around your BLR–IXZ arrival.

If you need a different night count, see the full Andaman tour packages list, or compare other departure cities on the major cities hub.

Andaman Family Tour Packages from Bangalore

School-holiday flights out of BLR sell out. Lock air and island hotels together, and keep the first night in Port Blair so children are not on a ferry after a 04:00 hotel pickup in Bengaluru.

Choose itineraries with a beach day that is not also a checkout day. The family packages page has the full set; see also planning an Andaman trip with kids.

Andaman Honeymoon Packages from Bangalore

Long weekends from Bengaluru look tempting as a 3-night dash. That only works if you accept a Havelock-heavy plan and almost no slack for a delayed connection. Four or five island nights is the more comfortable honeymoon if you want Neil as well.

See honeymoon packages and the honeymoon trip guide for pace, not just night count.

Andaman Group Tour Packages from Bangalore

We do not run a fixed Bangalore departure. Friends and office groups book their own BLR flights — ideally in the same arrival band — and we arrange Port Blair pickups, rooms and ferries around those PNRs.

See group tour packages or send dates and headcount.

Bangalore to Andaman Trip Cost

Budget two separate bills: the Bengaluru–Port Blair tickets, and the Andaman land package.

Air travel cost

BLR–IXZ fares move with season, how early you book, and whether the date is non-stop or connecting. We do not publish live airfares. Check the airline, then add that number to the land quote.

Andaman land package cost

This is what Adventure Andaman prices: hotel nights, inter-island ferries where included, cabs, and listed tickets or activities. Starting prices on the cards are land-package figures, not an all-in Bangalore holiday.

Land quotes also move with hotel category, peak season, room pairing and meal plan. Open a package for inclusions, or send dates for a written quote.

How Many Days Do You Need for an Andaman Trip from Bangalore?

Count nights in the islands, not days of leave from Bengaluru. A Friday night out of BLR and a Tuesday office return can still be only three island nights after airport time.

3 nights / 4 days

Only if leave is tight. Expect Port Blair plus a short Havelock stay. Little slack if the Bangalore connection runs late.

4 nights / 5 days

Workable for Havelock and Neil if you land at a decent hour. Keep arrival night in Port Blair when the BLR flight is a late connection.

5 nights / 6 days

The sensible first trip from Bangalore: three islands without every morning being a ferry or checkout.

6 nights / 7 days

Worth it if you are already spending a full flying day each way. Extra buffer, or a Baratang / extra Port Blair day on some itineraries.

What Is Typically Included

Depending on the selected package: Port Blair airport pickup, hotels, sightseeing cabs, inter-island ferry seats, and listed entry tickets or activities. Exact lists differ by itinerary — read the package page.

Assume Bangalore–Port Blair airfare, extra meals, and optional water sports are not included unless the quote says so.

Why Book the Andaman Portion with a Local Operator?

A delayed BLR connection is a mainland problem until you land. After that, the failures that ruin a trip are local: a missed Havelock ferry, a hotel that cannot check you in at 21:00, a room shuffle on Neil. Those are handled in the islands, not from a Bengaluru desk.

Adventure Andaman operates in Port Blair, Havelock and Neil. We do not have a Bangalore office. You book remotely; ground work starts at IXZ. More on the team on about us, or ask before you ticket the flights.
