Getting there
Mumbai is a busy mainland gateway, not an Andaman office. You fly out of the city; Adventure Andaman takes over after you land at Port Blair — hotels, inter-island ferries, cabs and listed activities, depending on the package.
BOM–Port Blair airfare is normally separate. Mumbai road time to the airport can rival a short flight. Treat that as part of the mainland day, then send us the IXZ arrival so the first island day is built on a real clock.
No road or railway reaches the islands. From Mumbai you fly to Port Blair. There is no passenger ship from Mumbai to Andaman; sailings, when they exist, use selected east-coast ports.
The established departure airport for this routing is Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM). You arrive at Port Blair (IXZ). Some dates have been non-stop; others connect. Always check the ticket: airport, terminal and whether the routing is direct.
If your ticket shows a different Mumbai-area airport than the one you planned to use, do not assume they are interchangeable on the morning of travel. Build Sahar / Andheri access time from South Mumbai, Navi Mumbai or Thane separately — that is a mainland logistics problem, not an island one.
There is no Andaman passenger ship from Mumbai. A sea crossing would mean travelling first to a port such as Chennai, Kolkata or Visakhapatnam, then several days aboard. That is not how a typical Mumbai leave is spent.
CSTM, LTT and Bandra Terminus serve the mainland only. There is no train to Andaman. Western and Central Railway can get you into Mumbai; BOM still has to do the rest.
Monsoon in Mumbai and peak season in Andaman are different calendars. Island ferries care about the Andaman sea state; your BOM departure cares about the mainland slot.

Mumbai travellers often land tired even when the airborne sector looks short on a map, because the day started in traffic. If you reach IXZ after mid-afternoon, we keep Port Blair that night.
Same-day Havelock after a BOM connection is the most common request we decline. Ferries have reporting times; they will not wait for a delayed mainland inbound.
