Kayaking

Kayaking in Havelock Island offers a peaceful way to explore calm coastal waters, creeks and mangrove surroundings while enjoying the natural landscape of the Andaman Islands. Participants use a lightweight kayak and paddle through a route selected according to tide, weather, water conditions and operational permissions.

Before departure, the guide explains seating, balance, paddle technique, turning, stopping and basic safety procedures. A life jacket and standard kayaking equipment are provided. The guide accompanies or supervises the group along the permitted route and may adjust the distance or duration according to the ability of the participants and the conditions on the day.

The approximate kayaking duration is 60 minutes. The complete activity can take longer because of registration, briefing, equipment preparation, movement to the launch point and waiting. Routes may vary between open coastal water, sheltered creeks or mangrove areas, and wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed because the experience takes place in a natural environment.

Participants should wear comfortable clothing suitable for getting wet and secure personal belongings before starting. Age, weight and fitness restrictions may apply, and children may need to share a kayak with an eligible adult according to operator rules. Kayaking may be unsuitable for guests with certain mobility, back, heart or medical conditions. Final participation approval rests with the operator. Hotel transfers, photographs, special sunrise or night-kayaking arrangements and other services are included only when clearly stated.
